Skulldog is 61-46 ATS this year. Coming off a tough week in which we went 4-7 (including our bonus twitter pick) on the week for our 2nd losing week on the year! While we are not happy with those results we are proud of the fact that we have only thrown 2 deuces thru 11 weeks of action this year. Don’t take our word for it alone. We are monitored by 3rd party handicapping sites and we give our picks away for free? Why? Cause we do this anyway and make a lot of money doing it. So, you can benefit from our knowledge or at least be entertained by our RADIO SHOW every Thursday night at 9PM PST.  Here are our latest picks of the week…

CALIFORNIA (+19.5) over Oregon
Texas Tech (+15.5) over OKLAHOMA

Texas A&M (-2.5) over BAYLOR
NORTHWESTERN (+10.5) over Iowa

TEXAS (+6.5) over Oklahoma St.
Georgia (+9.5) over AUBURN

What a difference a year makes. Who could have predicted a year ago that Baylor would be the team coming into this matchup with the high flying “spread” offense that is racking up massive yards per game while Texas Tech is struggling to adapt to a new offense and defensive scheme implemented by a new coach (Tommy Tuberville).
Baylor’s stud QB Robert Griffin (last week’s Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week) is on a roll coming into Lubbock after completing 26-of-36 passes for a career-high 380 yards and a career-high tying three touchdowns against Kansas. He also rushed eight times for 64 yards and a TD against the Jayhawks, while finishing the game with a school-record 444 total yards. And Baylor is hungry as they currently sit at  4-1 and only need two more wins to become bowl eligible for the first time since 1994.
The Raiders are coming off an embarrassing 52-38 loss to Iowa State that lowered their Big 12 record to 0-2, even though a bye week afforded Tech two weeks to prepare for the Cyclones. It’s embarrassing because Iowa State went into that game last in the Big 12 in scoring with 20.2 points per game but managed to score 28 points against Tech—in the critical fourth quarter. And the Raiders didn’t exactly look all that great in their two wins against SMU and New Mexico.
Key to the Game

On paper this looks like a straight up mismatch in favor of the Bears based on their respective performances season to date. However, there’s one thing the Red Raiders can always count on. A win over Baylor. Tech has won its last 14 meetings with the Bears. It’s the longest winning streak for the Raiders against any current opponent. Baylor last beat Tech 9-7 in Waco on Sept. 30, 1995. Plus Baylor did not help themselves by having two of their top receivers (Josh Gordon and Willie Jefferson) getting arrested for passing out at a Taco Bell drive thru window with a bag of ganja in the car (insert joke here).

While many so called “experts” out there will tell you that the streak and the potential loss of these two top WR’s will hurt the Bears this week, we at the are not buying it. The Bears have had 6 different receivers make plays of 40+ yards this year and believe that there is more than enough talent to go around to make up for the loss at the wide receiver position.
The Pick

Baylor is aware of the 14 game skid and will be looking for 14 years of redemption…they smell blood and this is their moment to capitalize.
